🎄 Christmas Fayre at Parklands – Saturday 28th November 🎅
Join us for our Christmas Fayre at Parklands on Saturday 28th November, 10am–4pm! Enjoy music in the café with refreshments for sale, a clothes sale, raffle, bottle tombola and craft stalls, a Kidszone and Santa's grotto! Entry is free — everyone welcome.
🌿 Growing wellbeing through research — The SAW Project 🌿
We're delighted to be part of an exciting research project with the University of Southampton, exploring how community sensory garden activities can support relaxation, enjoyment and wellbeing for people living with dementia and their care partners.
🎶 Re:Connect – Music Group for Over 65s
If you have a love of music, why not join Re:Connect — a music group for over 65s to improve mental health and wellbeing. We all know that music feeds the soul, so come along to a group that welcomes anyone over 65 with an interest in music!
💉 Flu & COVID-19 Autumn Vaccination Programme – from 1st October
From 1st October, the flu vaccination programme will expand to eligible groups including people aged 65 and over, adults in a clinical risk group, people living in care homes, carers and frontline healthcare workers. The COVID-19 autumn vaccination programme also begins from 1 October for those eligible.
💙 Age UK Dementia Care Navigators at Parklands – every Friday
Isle of Wight Age UK Dementia Care Navigators offer a drop-in session every Friday from 11–1 @ Parklands to offer advice and support if you or someone you know is experiencing memory problems.
⛵ ACE7 Monthly Social – for people with young-onset dementia
ACE7 is a group for people with young-onset dementia under the age of 65. From now on, we'll be meeting for a monthly social with tea, coffee and cakes on the first Tuesday of the month at Parklands Café in Cowes!
🏴☠️ Cowes Week Treasure Hunt is back! ⚓
As part of the Cowes Week Bicentenary Celebrations (1–7 August 2026), we're running a fun Treasure Hunt through the historic streets of Cowes, and every entry helps support Parklands Dementia Resource Centre!
☀️ Stay Safe in the Heat – Simple Tips to Keep Cool
While it's lovely to enjoy the warm weather, it's important to stay safe in the heat. Here are some simple tips to help you keep cool — from wearing extra suncream to staying hydrated and checking in on vulnerable neighbours.
🎲😄 Summer Rummikub Tournament at Parklands!
Join us this afternoon from 3.30pm – 5pm for our summer Rummikub tournament! A classic game that blends strategy, luck and quick thinking – perfect for all ages.
🌟 Volunteers Needed at the Wellbeing Club 🌟
We're looking for some extra helping hands to support our wonderful Wellbeing Club on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Could you spare a morning, afternoon, or help at lunchtime?
